What We Do

Farm Enterprise Development

The major enterprise being promoted by the CBO is chickens eggs and vegetable Production & marketing. Since inception to date, the CBO has been able to procure and distribute some vegetables seeds and broiler chicks for members.

Financial Services

The CBO has been providing financial training to farmers and so far it has seen 2 farmer groups adopting Village Saving and Loaning Association schemes with 27 farmers actively involved in VSLA so far (Female =26 and Male=1) with accumulative savings of Ksh.70,000/= in circulation

Lobby and Advocacy

The CBO has facilitated several trainings & adoption of SALM practices among farmers which includes: Agro forestry farming, Climate change Mitigation & adaptation, Soil & Water conservation, Agronomical practices, Nutrient Management, Integrated Pest & Livestock management, Renewable energy ,Rehabilitation & restoration of degraded land as well as minimum/reduced tillage & residue waste management

Agro forestry and Tree Planting

With support of Kinfarm Mums CBO through procured Agroforestry materials & tree planting campaigns, since inception Kinfarm Mums Some farmer groups have been trained on own seeds collection & utilization to enhance its sustainability. The organization aims at ensuring 10% tree cover fully implemented by at least 75% of its affiliated members by 2025. The achievement has been occasioned by adoption of Sustainable agriculture based on Agroforestry practices.
